About the ministry
Technology
Jonathan will act as an expert in all things that are tangible IT to influence the deployment of technology to the most isolate areas of the world by partnering with ministry leaders and teams to understand their technology needs and translate those needs into reliable, scalable technology solutions, then research and evaluate what is needed and design, deploy, and maintain that technology in support of ministry operations across diverse and remote environments.
Medical, Hospitality, & Home
Bethany will work one to two mornings a week in the medical clinic, which serves missionaries from JAARS and associated organizations. She will assist with medical checkups, give necessary immunizations, and treat those with illnesses in a way that is tailored toward missions so that each missionary can be fully prepared to enter or re-enter their field to share Christ.
Bethany will also work toward establishing or joining a hospitality ministry to serve and care for missionary families as they prepare for or return from the field and transition between cultures. She will also be the primary educator our children.
I wandered roads I thought were right, I chased the paths the world had paved, Seeking life in empty things, A restless heart, a soul enslaved. Sin’s promised life had left me dry; Each well-worn path was worn in vain. I could not see another way, Only more emptiness and pain. But You sent one to seek for me. Though I resisted, still they stayed. With patient love they spoke of Christ, And truth broke through the lies I'd made. At last I saw that elusive tangent A path untouched by worldly schemes, Where grace intersected all I was And shattered all my empty dreams. Your cross became my turning point; Your mercy changed my course that day. What I, alone, could never find, Your love had wooed through the fray. Now every step belongs to You. The life I knew has passed away. My love for you because You first loved me; You drew my heart and set me free. Lord, send me where the lost still wander, Where down paved paths their hearts have led. Let me proclaim the gospel message, And speak of life where death once spread. May I become the voice You use, The light that pierces darkest night. Lead me to those still searching blindly, And guide them toward Your saving might. That they may find, as once did I, Where broken paths at last converge; Where grace meets every searching soul, And leads them to salvation's urge. May you call them to Your cross, A hope the world can never give. That same elusive tangent find, Where dead souls come to rise and live.
